At Mu Yi we try to be as flexible as possible in meeting our customers’ requirements. For this reason we will be happy to discuss alternative finishes and colours for any of the furniture in the classical styles. We also provide a bespoke service to produce individual items of furniture that are not available in our current range. The most popular service we provide is to source individual Chinese antique furniture through our network of suppliers throughout China.
Antique Sourcing
Although we have a constantly changing range of antique furniture, the particular item you may have in mind may well not be listed on our site, or you may see something you would like to purchase amongst the items we have previously sold. Either way, if you cannot find the item you require in the wide range of antique Chinese furniture that we stock, we are also able to provide individual sourcing of antique pieces through our comprehensive supplier network in China.
First we will need as much detail as you can provide on the item, such as pictures, sizes and origin etc. We will then set our contacts to work and come back to you with several options for you to choose from. We can often provide several photographs of the proposed items together with age, construction and condition. We will also provide you with a quotation for you to have the item restored if required and delivered to your door. There is no obligation for you to go ahead until you have confirmed your order and paid a 20% deposit. Delivery of this type of furniture is usually about 12 weeks from payment of the deposit.
Bespoke Furniture
As well as the range of furniture shown on our web site from either the new items or previously sold antiques, we also provide a bespoke design and manufacturing service for individual items. If there is a particular piece of furniture that you cannot find on this web site, or if you have a particular design that you would like us to produce, please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with a quote.
If you are interested in this service we will liase with you to obtain a simple engineering drawing detailing the dimensions, structure and finish etc. of the item. This will be emailed to you for your comments and or changes to be made and from this we can obtain a quotation for you to have the item made and delivered to your door. There is no obligation to go ahead until you have confirmed your order and paid a deposit. Delivery of this type of furniture is usually about 12 weeks from payment of a 20% deposit.
Most of our bespoke furniture is a simple matter of having an existing item made to a different colour, size or layout. For example, an existing Wedding cabinet could be made with the internal drawers fitted at a low level with removable shelves with a rear access door for cable access to allow the unit to me used as a quite unique TV cabinet.
